Men's Golf Leads After Day One At NESCAC Qualifier

Rob Donahoe and John Louie fired identical rounds of 70 to sit tied atop the leaderboard and put Middlebury in first place after one day of play at the NESCAC Golf Championship Qualifier at Brunswick Golf Club.

The Panthers finished with a team score of 292, which was 14 strokes better than Trinity. Defending NESCAC Champion Williams is in third following a team score of 307 and host Bowdoin in fourth after posting a round of 311. The teams will tee off Sunday at 10:50 a.m. for the final round.

Chris Atwood, Eric Laorr and Fitz Bowen all shot identical 76's to round out the day one scoring for the Panthers.

The team winner following tomorrow's results will host the NESCAC Golf Championship on April 26-27. The top four teams will qualify for the championship.
