Track Teams Compete Again In California

The Panther track and field teams competed for the second time in California over spring break. Middlebury took part in the Ross and Sharon Irwin collegiate scoring meet at Pt. Loma with some impressive results.

Winning the javelin event was Carly Anderson with a toss of 130'1”, while Alexandra Morris was a victor in the 500 (58.83).

In the 800, Juliet Ryan-Davis (2:11.51), Addie Tousley (2:14.74) and Sarah O'Brien (2:15.61) placed 1-3 in the event. Also placing 1-3 in the 5,000 were Katie Carlson (18:01.73), Sarah Guth (18:17.59) and Caroline Guiot  (18:33.67). Dana Tripp finished second in the hammer (130'), while Emily Dodge was the top collegiate racer in the 100 hurdles (16:01).

Sam Craft earned a win in the 800, beating a sizable field of 68 with a time of 1:55.12. Also besting a large field was Patrick Hebble in the 1,500, coming in with a time of 3:59.61 among 65 racers. Jack Davies earned a win in the 3,000 steeplechase (9:05.75), while Louis Cornacchione was the top collegiate racer in the 400 hurdles (56.55). Placing second were Kevin Chu in the 110 hurdles (14.77) and Deklan Robinson in the high jump (6'2”).
