Men's Golf Ends NCAA Play

The Middlebury men's golf team finished with a 308 on day two for an overall score of 617 at the NCAA Championships. The Panther did not make the cut for the final two days of play, finishing in a 21st place tie overall. Action was taking place at the Mission Inn Resort, in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.

Rob Donahoe parred the course on day two to lead the Panthers, finishing with a 72 for a two-day total of 149. He birdied 10 and 11, getting back even with a double on 12. William Prince came in with a 75 to earn a two-day total of 149 to tie Donahoe for the team-lead. He played well on the back nine, birdying 10, 14, 16 and 17. Eric Laorr was next with an 80 for a combined score of 158 over 18 holes. He birdied six and 15, while earning nine pars. Shooting an 81 was Atwood to finish with a 164, including 11 pars on the day. Rounding out the squad on day two was Max Alley, who shot an 83 for a total of 163 with nine pars.
