Day One Complete At NCAA Men's Golf

The Middlebury men's golf team sits in a tie for 20th place among 41 teams after one day of play at the 2012 NCAA Championships with a 309. Action is taking place at the Mission Inn Resort, in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Oglethorpe leads the event after one day with a score of 285.

William Prince paced the team on day one with a +2 74, earning birdies on seven and 18 along with 12 pars. Rob Donahoe came in with a 77, earning birds on one, five and 17 with eight pars. One stroke behind was Eric Laorr with a 78, with a birdie on 14. Max Alley shot an 80 with 10 pars on the afternoon. Rounding out the team was Chris Attwood, who finished with an 83 including an eagle on the par five fifth hole.
