Men's Golf Finishes 18th At NCAA's

The Middlebury men's golf team shaved five strokes off its day one score to shoot a 299 on day two of the 2011 NCAA Championship at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. The Panthers finish the event in 18th place with a 603, with the top 15 teams continuing through the final two rounds.

After opening with a two-under-par 70 on Tuesday, Jim Levins came in with a 76 on day two, to finish with a 146. He finished the day with a birdie and five bogeys.

Brian Cady knocked two strokes off his score to shoot a 75, ending with a 152 overall. He was +5 on holes 7-10, but came on strong to birdie 11, 12 and 13.

Andrew Emerson also shot a 75 on day two, finishing up with a 154. William Prince took nine strokes off his day one score, firing a 73 to finish with a 155 overall. He shot a blistering 34 on the front nine with a birdie on the back. Max Alley came in with a 76 on day two, giving him a two-round total of 154 with three birdies today.
