The Panther women's hockey team dropped its second straight game as they fell 5-0 at #3 Plattsburgh in the consolation game of the Panther/Cardinal Classic. Sixth-ranked Middlebury returns to action this weekend at home, when they host Wesleyan and Trinity.
After a scoreless first period, Plattsburgh struck for four second period tallies, including a shorthanded goal with 23 seconds remaining. The Cardinals added a late goal in the third to seal the 5-0 victory.
Sydney Aveson made 20 saves in goal to earn the win, while Laura Pinsent (23 saves) and Alexi Bloom (20 saves) split time for the Panthers.
