Middlebury scored a goal in each period on its way to a 3-0 shutout victory over Colby (1-2, 0-2). The Panthers (4-0, 3-0) held a 36-14 shots advantage in the game, as Alexi Bloom made 14 saves in goal to earn her second shutout of the season.

Grace Waters opened the scoring for the Panthers 13:08 into the first period. The junior skated in on the left wing with some nice stick-work, snapping a shot to the far post after a feed from Maggie Woodward.

Anna McNally scored her first of the year and 46th career goal at the 13:08 mark of the second period to make it a 2-0 game. McNally gathered the puck just outside the crease and quickly flipped it into the top of the net for the goal. Minutes later, Bloom made a big glove save on Tasha Rivard from point-blank range to keep the Mules off the board.

Heidi Woodworth scored her team-leading third goal of the season at the 9:30 mark of the third period with a blast from the left point. Colby netminder Brianne Wheeler made a big save on Woodward at 13:18, with the rebound going into the net just before a Middlebury penalty, disallowing the goal.

Wheeler ended the game with 31 saves for Colby, while Grace Dickinson made a pair in 3:20 of action.
