Swim Teams Top Hamilton

The Panther swimming and diving teams earned wins at home over Hamilton on Saturday afternoon. The men's team picked up a 156-137 win, while the women's squad emerged with a 174-114 victory. Both first-year racer Salena Casha (Andover, Mass.) and senior John Dillon (Wellesley, Mass.) won four events each on the afternoon. Casha captured the 100 breaststroke (1:09.80), 100 fly (1:00.32), 200 IM (2:12.34) and the 400 medley relay, while Dillon won the 200 fly (1:56.36), 200 IM (1:59.21), 100 fly (51.20-B cut) and the 400 medley relay.

The Panthers also boasted three athletes who each captured three events vs. Hamilton. First-year racer Jen Friedlander (Deephaven, Minn.) won the 200 fly (2:08.99-B cut), 500 free (5:14.99) and the 400 medley relay, while classmate Audrey Tolbert (Perryville, Md.) was victorious in the 200 breaststroke (2:35.81), 400 medley relay and 400 free relay. Middlebury's other three-event winner was sophomore Kazu Asaga (Chappaqua, N.Y.), who won the 100 back (54.99), 200 back (2:01.65) and the 400 medley relay. Sophomore Meagan Collins (Darien, Conn.) earned NCAA considerations in both 1M (255.0) and 3M (255.0) diving.
