Men's Golf Opens At St. Lawrence

The Middlebury College men's golf team opened up its fall season with a sixth place finish among 13 teams at the St. Lawrence Invitational. Middlebury and Hamilton both shot 622 over the weekend, while Waterloo of Canada won the event with a 593. Leading the team was senior Ben Kunofsky (Dallas, Texas), who shot a two-day total of 152 to finish in 13th place. Next was first-year player Andrew Emerson (Pelham, N.Y.) with a 154, followed by juniors Jim Levins (Rutland, Vt.) and John Szmyd (Rye, N.H.), who both shot a 158. Senior Jesse Keenan (Hadley, N.Y.) rounded out the squad with a 167.
