Field Hockey Wins Fifth Straight

The Middlebury field hockey team won its fifth straight game with a 4-0 road victory at Union. The Panthers used four different goal scorers in the win, as they improve to 6-2 on the season. Middlebury held a 19-2 shots advantage and a 12-1 lead in penalty corners in the contest.

Lauren Greer opened the scoring at 13:27 as she flipped a high shot into the goal with an assist going to Emily Blair. The lead grew to 2-0 late in the half on a goal from Heather McCormack with a helper going to Greer.

Mullery Doar netted her fourth of the season at the 43:20 mark, while Sally Ryan wrapped up the scoring with just under five minutes to go. Madeline Brooks made four saves in goal to earn the win. Union goalkeeper Sarah Rios made eight stops in the home net.
