Middlebury saw its six game (5-0-1) unbeaten streak come to an end as they suffered a 4-1 loss at top-ranked Plattsburgh. The fourth-ranked Panthers return home this weekend to host NESCAC foes Wesleyan and Trinity in Kenyon Arena.

Middlebury led 1-0 after one on the 11th goal of the season for Martin Drolet, with a helper from Bryan Curran.

Plattsburgh answered with a big second period, scoring three times, including a power play tally. Phil Farrow tied the game at 10:58, Joey Wilson gave the Cards the lead at 12:56, before scoring again with 1:49 left it in the period to make it a 3-1 game.

The Panthers pulled their netminder late in the game, as Riley Hill added an empty-netter for the 4-1 win. Bryan Hince made 22 saves in goal for the Cardinals, while John Yanchek made 26 stops for the Panthers.
