Men's Basketball Cruises Past Castleton

Box Score

Middlebury raced out to a 49-28 halftime lead and never looked back en route to a 103-71 win at Castleton. The Panthers placed 12 players in the scoring column, including six in double-figures to improve to 5-2 on the season.

Kyle Dudley scored a team-high 15 points, while Ben Rudin, Andrew Locke and Jamal Davis chipped in 13, 12 and 10 respectively. Tim Edwards was the only Panther starter not to register double digit scoring, but he did dish out 10 assists. Ryan Sharry posted a double-double 13 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Castleton's Seth Harrington scored a game-high 16 points, but it was not enough as the Spartan defense struggled to stop the potent Middlebury attack. Marcus Hass joined Harrington in double digits with 14 points and six rebounds, while Cameron Bodine chipped in 12 off the bench.

Castleton falls to 0-5 to start the season for the first time since the 1998-99 season. Middlebury is back in action Thursday when the Panthers play host to Johnson State at 7:00 p.m.
