Panthers Knock Off Skidmore

Middlebury remained perfect with a 1-0 win over Skidmore College Wednesday afternoon at Wachenheim Field. The loss was the first in five games for the 4-1 Thoroughbreds.

After a scoreless first half, Middlebury's Dana Rye tallied the game's lone goal on a corner from Nina Daugherty at 37:11.

Both teams traded opportunities in the rest of the way, but Panther goalie Meghan McGillen kept the Thoroughbreds off the board. Middlebury had a 13-10 shot advantage and 9-7 edge in penalty corners.

McGillen finished with seven saves, while Meredith Peeke had five saves for Skidmore.
