Women's Lax Tops Amherst

The Middlebury women's lacrosse team clinched its sixth straight NESCAC regular season title as they defeated Amherst 11-3 on the road. The Panthers draw a first-round bye and will host the NESCAC semifinals and finals May 6th and 7th on Kohn Field.

Leading 4-2 at the half, Middlebury held Amherst to just one second half goal at the 9:25 mark. Alison Perencevich and Elizabeth Renehan led Middlebury with four goals apiece, while Michele Bergofsky, Kim Walker and Claire Edelen each added a goal.

Blaire Bowie made five saves in goal to earn the win.
