Middlebury assistant women's lacrosse coach Olivia Seymour has been selected to participate in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Aspire Assistant Coach Development Program for the 2026-27 academic year. 
 
Aspire, launched in 2024, was designed to align with the IWLCA's vision of offering an intensive, high-quality continuing education opportunity for current assistant coaches. This Aspire class features 26 assistant coaches from the three NCAA divisions and the NAIA level. 
 
The organization continues to work with e.t.c. coaching consultants to plan and execute the Aspire program's curriculum with Sarah McQuade and Julie Muller serving as the lead facilitators. The parallel cohorts will participate in virtual and in-person programming throughout the fall semester and wrap up in January 2027 to allow participants time to focus on their teams and apply their coursework during their competitive season.
 
Seymour has helped coach the team to three NCAA Championships during her tenure as an assistant. She has mentored three IWLCA National Player and Attacker of the Years, one IWLCA National Defender of the Year and three NESCAC Offensive Player of the Year honorees. Seymour helped the program set a single-season record for wins in 2024 and 2026 (23-0), guided 14 All-American selections and had five athletes earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America honors.

"Olivia has emerged as a bright young talent in the world of collegiate women's lacrosse," said head coach Kate Livesay '03. "Her work in this program will continue to develop her coaching skills to ensure that she can positively impact student-athletes for many years to come."
