Late Comeback Lifts Men's Lacrosse Over Bates

The Middlebury men's lacrosse team clinched its sixth straight NESCAC regular season title as they won a 9-8 road game at Bates. The Panthers draw a first-round bye and will host the NESCAC semifinals and finals May 6th and 7th on Youngman Field at Alumni Stadium.

Trailing 6-4 at the half and 8-4 entering the fourth quarter, the Panthers mounted a comeback. Middlebury quickly found themselves back in the game as Aaron Herter tied the contest with 2:21 remaining. Henry Sheehan notched the game-winner for the Panthers with just 1:11 remaining as Middlebury outscored Bates 5-0 in the fourth quarter to pick up the 9-8 win.


Alex Palmisano made nine saves in goal for the Panthers.
