Middlebury improved on its school record of 10 straight wins as the Panthers picked up a 15-9 road win at in-state foe St. Michael's.
In the top half of the second inning, Lefeber led off with a double to left field and was driven home by Coleman Hutzler's one-out single to put the visitors on top 1-0. Saint Michael's responded with three runs in the bottom of the third inning, but Middlebury managed to score at least one run in five of the final six innings to clinch the victory. The Panthers would pound out 20 hits on the day, giving them 42 hits in their last two games.
For the Panthers, Gabe Broughton and Nick Lefeber each went 3-for-5 at the plate, with Lefeber hitting three doubles and driving in four runs. Noah Walker went 2-4 with three runs scored, while Sam Timberg was 2-2 with 2 RBI.
Tyler Bak pitched five innings to earn the win, allowing six hits and two earned runs, while striking out four.
