Middlebury moved to 8-1 on the season as they picked up a 4-0 victory over Amherst on Kohn Field. The Panthers have now shutout four opponents this season, allowing just over one goal/game.
The Panthers took a 1-0 lead at the 26:08 mark as Madeleine Macmilian found the back of the cage. Dane Rye made it a 2-0 game with 14:20 left in the half as she scored on a penalty corner. Macmillan found Farrell, who set up Rye for the goal.
Nina Daugherty gave Middlebury a 3-0 lead and some breathing room with 6:24 left in the game. Farrell added a late goal with an assist from Michelle Archambault with just 1:10 left to play.
Meghan McGillen was forced to make just one save in goal to earn the win, while Kathleen Boucher made eight saves for Amherst.
