The Middlebury women's hockey team survived a scare on the road as they squeaked out a 2-1 win at N.E.C. The Panthers outshot the Pilgrims 43-21 on the night, but ran into a tough goaltender.
Trailing 1-0 in the second period, Emily Quizon tied the game for Middlebury at the 14:03 mark. The contest remained at 1-1 until the 12:45 mark of the third, when Annmarie Cellino scored the game-winning power play goal with 7:15 left to play.
Kate Kogut made 20 saves in goal to earn the win, as the Panthers won their 21st straight.
