Women's Lax Tops Williams

4/27/05 - Middlebury picked up a 10-7 road win at Williams in a low-scoring affair. With the win, the Panthers have clinched the top spot for the upcoming NESCAC Tournament and will host the semifinals and finals on May 7th and 8th.

Middlebury led 4-1 before Williams came back to cut the lead to 6-5 at the half. The Panthers took a 9-6 second half lead on a goal from Alison Perencevich, before the Ephs answered. Kim Walker scored the game's final goal to make it a 10-7 contest.

Walker led the team with three goals on the afternoon, Claire Edelen scored two with an assist, while Elizabeth Renehan netted a pair. Johanna Rosenfield earned the win in goal.
