2/20/05 - Elmira scored 3:05 into overtime to give the top-ranked Soaring Eagles a 3-2 win over second-ranked Middlebury in a game played at Williams. The Panthers return to action on Saturday when they host Trinity in a NESCAC first-round match-up.

Elmira held a 1-0 lead before Emily Quizon tied the game for Middlebury at the 14:01 mark of the first period. The Soaring Eagles regained the lead in the second period before Lorna Gifis tied the game at 15:19 of the second period. After a scoreless third period, the game went into overtime knotted at two.

Middlebury out shot Elmira 34-29 on the afternoon, with Kate Kogut making 26 saves in goal.
