Women's Hockey Tops Utica

2/19/05 - Middlebury scored four second period goals on its way to a 6-3 win over Utica in a game played at Williams. In NESCAC action, Bowdoin clinched the top spot in the NESCAC, giving the Panthers first-round match-up against Trinity on February 26th in Kenyon Arena.

Tied at one after one on a goal from Karen Levin, Middlebury scored four of five second period goals to take a 5-2 lead after two periods. Lorna Gifis netted two goals in the period, while Tania Kenny and Alison Graddock also scored in the offensive outburst. Utica cut the lead to 5-3 in the third, before Kenny netted an empty-netter to seal the win.

Kate Kogut made 37 saves in goal to earn the win.
