Men's Basketball Moves to 6-0

Middlebury earned another victory as they picked a 69-65 road win at Rensselaer. The Panthers move to 6-0 and improve on their best start since the 1917-18 team finished at 7-0.

Trailing 15-14 in the first half, Middlebury went on a 14-0 run to take a 28-15 lead with 6:15 left in the first half. The Panthers led by 11 at the break, holding a 51-40 lead with 11:03 remaining. Rensselaer went on an 11-2 run to cut the lead to a pair at the 7:41 mark, but Middlebury answered with a quick 7-0 run to regain a nine-point lead with 3:24 left to play. The Red Hawks cut the lead to three late in the game, but Middlebury held on for the win.

Wil Hyatt was one of four Panthers in double figures with 13 points, six rebounds and five assists on the night. Mike Walsh added a dozen, while Sam Daly and Andrew Harris netted 11 points apice.
