The Panthers broke open a tight game in the second half with a 21-1 run to take a commanding 62-39 lead with 11:58 remaining. Middlebury shot well from the floor, connecting on .516 percent of its shots, while forcing 23 Castleton turnovers.

Wil Hyatt and Mike Walsh led the team with 11 points apiece, while Sam Daly, Ben Rudin and Evan Thompson each netted 10. Thompson grabbed a game-high nine boards and five assists in the win.
