Middlebury scored five first half goals and never looked back as they cruised to an 8-1 win over Bates in NESCAC play. The Panthers, ranked ninth nationally, move to 7-1 in NESCAC play, while the Bobcats fall to 2-6.
Reid Berrien scored three goals on the day to lead the Middlebury offense, while Channing Weymouth added a pair. Allison Smith had a goal and two assists in the game, while Emily Enos and Marnie Rowe added solo goals. Liza Greenwood scored the Bates goal early in the second half.
Meghan McGillen and Caitlin Pentifallo combined to make two saves in goal for Middlebury, while Sarah Judice made eight saves for Bates.
