Middlebury improved to 5-1 on the season with a 4-1 win over Colby on Kohn Field. This was the Panthers' seventh straight victory over the NESCAC foe Colby Mules, as Middlebury remains undefeated in conference play.
Claire Edelen opened the scoring at 16:03 when she tipped in a penalty corner from Reid Berrien. With 13:33 remaining in the first half, Berrien scored on her own penalty corner to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead.
Colby got on the board in the second half at the 24:22 mark after Mary Claire Snediker was able to lift the ball over diving Panther goalie Meg McGillen. At 10:15, Nina Daugherty tipped in a shot from outside the circle by Allison Smith to strengthen Middlebury's lead at 3-1. After a nice feed from Dana Rye, Ashley Lyddane snapped the ball into the corner of the cage for the final goal of the game.
