Middlebury made a late charge but it wasn't enough as they fell to Skidmore 72-67 at the Pepin Gym. Skidmore jumped out to an 11-2 lead, but the Panthers battled back to take a three-point first half lead. The Thoroughbreds held a one-point halftime lead, but led by no more than eight in the second half. Middlebury came back to cut the lead to two at 69-67 with 1:10 left to play. A pair of free throws by Skidmore with :18 sealed the road win for the Thoroughbreds. Mike Salek led Middlebury with 17 points, Clark Read added 14, while Mike Walsh scored 10.
