Middlebury pitchers walked 10 batters and hit six as the Panthers fell 9-5 in their home-opener to Skidmore. The Thoroughbreds earned six of their nine runs, while picking up just four hits on the afternoon. Jim Muhlfeld led the Panthers with a three-run double in the seventh, while David Riester had a two-run single in the fifth.
