Five different players scored as Middlebury defeated Southern Maine, 5-2. John Sales and Justin Gaines gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead before Tom Maldonado made it a 3-0 game with one minute left in the second period. Patrick Nugent and James Guay scored between a pair of Southern Maine third period goals to make it a 5-2 final. The Panthers out shot the Huskies 38-15 as Yen-I Chen made 13 saves in goal for the win.
