Middlebury evened its record at 4-4 heading in to the semester break, after an 87-73 win over Southern Vermont. The Panthers return to action when they host Plymouth State on January 2nd at 2:00 p.m.

An 11-2 first half run gave Middlebury a 31-24 lead with 7:40 left to play. The lead grew to 10 before Southern Vermont cut it to five at the half. The lead slowly increased in the second half with the Panthers taking a 19-point advantage four times before coming away with the 87-73 win. Middlebury held a +21 advantage on the boards, while shooting .456 from the floor in the game.

Simon Behan led the team in scoring with 17 points on six of seven shooting. Clark Read shot the same from the floor, ending the game with 14 points and seven rebounds. Bobby Marcoux scored a dozen in the win, while Mike Salek added 10.
