Field Hockey Rolls Over Union

Middlebury used five goals in each half to pick up a 10-0 win over Union. The Panthers improve to 8-0 on the season and are ranked fourth in the latest Division III National poll.

Claire Edelen opened the scoring at 28:55 as she scored from the middle after a quick pass from Ashley Lyddane. The two exchange roles on the second goal before Reid Berrien made it a 3-0 game with a tap in after a high feed from Lyddane. Edelen struck again at 13:20 on a penalty corner, while Berrien notched her second of the half at 7:02 to make it a 5-0 game at the break.

Dana Rye scored a pair of second half goals, while three others players tallied to seal the win for the Panthers. Meghan McGillen made three saves in 61 minutes for the Panthers, while Emiko Neithercut was forced to make no saves in her collegiate debut. Amanda Meissner made 13 saves in goal for Union.
