Panthers blast Rensselaer, 8-0

Middlebury remained undefeated on the season as they picked up an 8-0 win over Rensselaer on Kohn Field. The Panthers are the top-ranked team latest Division III National poll. Middlebury will wrap up its regular season this Saturday at home against Connecticut College at 11:00 a.m., before hosting the NESCAC semifinals and finals next weekend.

Abigail Lamb scored four goals, while Char Glessner had two goals and two assists to lead the Panthers to the win. Lamb opened the scoring just 2:02 into the game, and followed that up with a tally just 2:42 later to make it a 2-0 game. Glessner converted a great feed from Channing Weymouth following a penalty corner to make it a 3-0 contest with 18:48 left in the half. Missy Krempa increased the lead to 4-0 with a rocket from the outside at 15:15. Middlebury added four more goals in the second half to seal the win.
