Ben Lipson

Lipson enters his sixth season at Middlebury as an assistant softball coach with the Panthers in the spring of 2019. He previously served under head coach Kelly Bevere during the 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 seasons. Lipson brings with him over a decade of collegiate coaching experience.

Prior to his return to Middlebury, Lipson served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Quinnipiac University in 2011 and 2012, where he helped lead the Bobcats to back to back 32-win seasons and consecutive top-three finishes in the Northeast Conference regular season standings.

Lipson has a myriad of additional softball coaching experience having served as an assistant at Division I institutions Bradley University and UNC Wilmington, as well as Division III Lawrence University in Wisconsin. He has also served as the head coach at Independence Community College (NJCAA) and NAIA schools Stephens College and Mount Mercy University.

Lipson earned his Master's Degree in kinesiology with an emphasis on coaching from Texas Woman's University and a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management from the University of Memphis.   ​
