Five members of the Middlebury softball team were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region squads. Reagan Adiletta and Kristyn Carroll garnered first-team accolades, while Emily Dowd was a second-team selection. Olivia Fleming and McKenna Lont close out the Panther contingent with slots on the third team.
HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
- Adiletta (First Team)
- Adiletta logs her initial all-region honor.
- The infielder slots third for Middlebury with a .345 batting average and 40 hits. She has struck out just four times in 116 plate appearances.
- Her 25 runs batted in (RBI) sit alone in third place.
- Adiletta has collected a hit in 27 contests.
- She has split time defensively behind the plate and in the field, sporting 96 putouts and 37 assists.
- Carroll (First Team)
- Carroll earns the fourth first-team regional accolade of her career.
- The outfielder paces the program in batting average (.510), slugging percentage (.748), total bases (107), hits (73) and stolen bases (34).
- Earlier this season, Carroll became the career leader in at-bats, hits and runs scored. She currently has 485, 236 and 177, respectively, entering the NCAA postseason.
- She is the third player in program history to be selected as the conference's player of the year.
- Carroll sports a career.487 batting average, 99 stolen bases and 94 RBI over 150 games.
- Dowd (Second Team)
- Dowd secures all-region honors for the first time.
- The rookie has put together a record-breaking campaign in the circle. She leads the squad with a 2.34 earned-run average (ERA) over 104.2 frames alongside seven complete games.
- Dowd has tied Brittany Burke (2007) and Allison Quigley (2015) for the most victories in a campaign at 13.Â
- Her 101 strikeouts entering NCAA play slot second in the single-season marks.
- Fleming (Third Team)
- The all-region nod is Fleming's first.
- She continues to have a stellar second season, posting career highs in batting average (.343), hits (35), runs scored (30) and RBI (21).
- Fleming had a highlight-filled day in the NESCAC Championship contest. She reached base four times and crossed home plate twice to help the Panthers to a 7-5 victory over Williams.
- The sophomore is tied for the team lead with five double plays turned alongside a .977 fielding percentage.
- Fleming has appeared in 72 contests as a Panther, logging 57 hits and 49 runs scored.
- Lont (Third Team)
- Lont grabbed all-region honors for the second time after being named a second-teamer in 2024
- The utility player has enjoyed a strong campaign in the circle, logging a 9-4 record and 3.92 ERA over 18 appearances. She also has six complete games.
- Offensively, Lont has 25 runs scored alongside 24 hits. She also leads the team with 21 walks.
- The senior is second with 73 assists and has committed only two miscues for a .979 fielding percentage.
- Lont has accumulated 117 hits, 82 runs scored and 79 RBI spanning 150 career games.
