Kristyn Carroll Tabbed NESCAC Player of the Week

Kristyn Carroll earns the league's weekly honor for the first time.
Kristyn Carroll of the Middlebury softball team has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week after helping guide the program to a 5-1 record. She secures the honor for the first time in a Panther uniform.
 
HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
  • Carroll went a combined 10-for-18 at the plate with two doubles, a triple and three walks for the navy and white. 
  • The senior had a trio of multi-hit games in the stretch, headlined by a 3-for-3 effort with two doubles and three runs batted in a 10-2 five-inning victory against Keene State in the nightcap. 
  • Carroll accumulated nine runs scored and swiped four bases over the six contests. 
  • She sits near the top of the conference in multiple offensive categories, pacing the league with seven triples. The outfielder ranks second in batting average (.528), hits (38), total bases (60), stolen bases (17), on-base plus slugging percentage (1.401) and runs scored (27). 
Carroll and her teammates return to the field on Saturday with a NESCAC twin bill against Bowdoin. The first pitch against the Polar Bears is slated for 12:00 p.m.
