#10 Middlebury Rolls to Sweep of Connecticut College

The #10 Middlebury men's tennis team won all nine matches in Saturday's 7-0 road win over Connecticut College.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Panthers cruised to the doubles point with three 6-2 triumphs. Noah Lewis and Julian Wu headlined the efforts with a win over Noa Hoshino and Sigmund Winiecki in the #1 match.
  • Nikky Kondamuri opened the singles portion with a 6-1, 6-2 decision against Gavin Anderson in the sixth position before Lewis followed with a 6-2, 6-3 dispatch of Nikhil Agarwal in the top singles tilt.
  • Nathan Jackson clinched the match for Middlebury at #5 against Nikolai Kahrs (6-1, 6-4).
  • In the fourth spot, Andrew Yim posted a clean first frame before finalizing his two-set win (6-0, 6-2). Reif Larsen had to work at #2, prevailing 7-5 in the opening stanza's tiebreaker. The Panther rolled to a 6-0 decision in the second for the straight-set decision.
  • Hugh Hentschel closed out the afternoon's final match with identical 6-3 scores to seal the 7-0 win.
NOTES
  • Hentschel earned his 30th singles triumph.
  • Middlebury has claimed all 16 matchups in the series against the Camels.
The Panthers return to the courts tomorrow, battling #24 Wesleyan in Middletown beginning at 10:00 a.m.
