Caroline Adams Named IWLCA Offensive and NESCAC Player of the Week

Caroline Adams earns the weekly honor for the second time.

Caroline Adams of the #1 Middlebury women's lacrosse team has been named the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Offensive and NESCAC Player of the Week after spearheading a trio of victories over ranked opponents. She secures the honor for the second time in the last three weeks.

HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS

  • The attacker opened the slate with six goals and one assist while winning nine draws in a 13-6 victory over #20 University of Chicago. 
  • During the matchup against the Maroons, Adams became the first player in program history to surpass 400 career draw controls.
  • The Panther continued her hat-trick trend at#3 Tufts, tallying five points (3G, 2A) in a hard-fought 11-10 triumph. Her player-up goal with 1:02 remaining in the third quarter gave Middlebury a lead it never relinquished. She also assisted on two of the final three tallies to seal the win.
  • In the final game of the week, Adams scored four times and added three tallies to pace the navy and white to an 18-3 triumph over #24 Babson.
  • The senior leads the conference with 6.40 draw victories per game and is second in goals (33) and points per game (5.20).

The Panthers return to the field on Saturday, meeting #3 Wesleyan for a 12:00 p.m. showdown at Peter Kohn Field.
