Megan Fuqua of the top-ranked Middlebury field hockey team has been tabbed the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NHFCA) National Offensive and NESCAC Player of the Week. It is the first time the Panther garnered the weekly national and conference honor in her career.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Fuqua paced the squad with nine points (4G, 1A) in a 3-0 week for the Panthers.
• The midfielder opened the season with two goals and an assist in a 10-0 triumph over Vermont State University Castleton. Her two markers and five points were career-high totals.
• Over the weekend, Fuqua scored in a 2-1 shootout victory against Hamilton in the NESCAC opener. She tallied the game-winning goal to help Middlebury defeat #15 Bryn Mawr on Sunday.
• Fuqua leads the conference in points (nine) and goals (four).

The Panthers return to the field with a road matchup against Trinity on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
