Women’s Lacrosse Earns National Academic Recognition From IWLCA

The Panthers earned national academic recognition from the IWLCA.

The NCAA Champion Middlebury women's lacrosse team was honored for its academic excellence from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) in the organization's postseason academic honors release.

The squad earned the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Squad Award. The honor is given to programs that have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year.

Additionally, 16 athletes were named to the Division III Academic Honor Roll. Each honoree is nominated by their respective school, must be at least a junior academically and possess a GPA of 3.50 or higher. Recent graduates Burdine Atherton, Maggie Coughlin, Kelcey Dion, Catie Duggan, Zari Garfield, Grace Mumford, Madison Paylor, Hope Shue, Anna Spehr and Libby TenBarge tallied the honors. Rising seniors Caroline Adams, Lauren Giuriceo, Haley Hamilton, Skylar Lach, Caroline Messer and Britt Nawrocki closed out the Panther representatives. Middlebury's 16 honorees trailed only Colby and Tufts, who had 18 winners each.

The squad capped its 2025 campaign with its fourth-straight NCAA title and the 11th in program history. Middlebury posted a 21-1 mark and pushed its winning streak away from Peter Kohn Field to 53 consecutive contests. The Panthers ended the season fourth in the country with a .891 clearing percentage while sitting in the top-10 spots in scoring defense (sixth - 6.64) and scoring margin (tied for 10th - 8.82).
