The men's basketball program was honored for its work in the classroom.
David Brennan, Evan Flaks, Jackson McKersie, Dean Smith, Sam Stevens and Edward Witherington of the Middlebury men's basketball team earned 2024-25 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court distinction. The award highlights men's college basketball student-athletes who excelled in the classroom.
To be selected for the Honors Court, honorees have to be a junior or senior who finished the season with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or above. Additionally, the athlete must be at their current institution for at least one year, and the school must be a member of an NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA Division I or II college with an NABC member coach.
Additionally, the Panthers were honored with the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. This award recognizes programs that finished the 2024-25 season with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Nearly 400 programs across the country received the accolade.
