Carroll earns her third first-team honor.
Kristyn Carroll of the Middlebury softball team was named to the All-NESCAC First Team for the third time in her career.
HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
- The junior sits atop the conference ranks with a .496 batting average, collecting 61 hits in 123 at-bats. She also leads the league in walks (24) and on-base percentage (.580) and is tied among her conference peers in runs scored (46).Â
- Carroll is second in stolen bases (27) and on-base percentage plus slugging (OPS), third in slugging percentage (.659), fourth in total bases (81) and tied for fifth in triples (five).Â
- She became Middlebury's career leader in stolen bases with 65 and has tallied program-leading marks in walks (66), while earning single-season highs in hits (61) and runs scored (46).
- The center fielder is also the program's single-season leader in stolen bases with 32.
- Carroll posted a .966 fielding percentage with just two errors in 58 chances and 53 putouts.
Middlebury finished with a 24-15 record and earned the fifth seed in the NESCAC Tournament. The team also posted a program-best 13 home victories this spring.
