HIGHLIGHTS

  • Patrick Jamin pushed the home squad ahead 30 seconds into the contest, scooping up a loose ball in front of the net and beating Continental goalie Jack Fried with a shot into the right panel for the 1-0 edge.
  • The Panthers doubled their lead with 11:33 to go on a skipper shot from about 20 yards out from Logan White.
  • Hamilton knotted the contest with goals by Frank Coyle and Carson Kraus to make the score 2-2 after the opening quarter.
  • Middlebury responded with 9:51 left in the second. After a Continental turnover, White scooped up the loose ball and flicked it to Drew Dummer, who was one-on-one with the goalie. Dummer buried his shot in the right panel to put the Panthers ahead 3-2.
  • The guests answered again about three minutes later on a behind-the-back shot from Coyle to tie the game at 3-3.
  • Middlebury found the run it needed to end the half. John McCarthy, Finn McCarthy and Billy Curtis tallied three consecutive markers to give the Panthers a 6-3 lead at the break.
  • The momentum carried over to open the third quarter. Jamin and White each earned their second tally about three minutes apart to build an 8-3 cushion at the 5:59 mark.
  • Hamilton pushed back with three of the next four goals to cut the deficit to 9-6 after 45 minutes of action.
  • That was as close as the visitors got, as a 5-2 surge in the final stanza gave the Panthers a 14-8 victory and pushed their winning streak to four-straight contests.
