Dixon & Mustafaj Tabbed To All-Conference Squads

Mustafaj and Dixon earned all-conference honors.

Middlebury women's basketball players Augusta Dixon and Alexa Mustafaj have earned places on the All-NESCAC teams. Mustafaj garnered first-team accolades while Dixon earned a spot on the second squad.

ABOUT THE HONOREES

  • Mustafaj (First Team)
    • The Panther earns All-NESCAC honors for the fourth year in a row and her third-consecutive first-team nod. She was also named the 2022 NESCAC Rookie of the Year.
    • Mustafaj became the first women's player in NESCAC history to eclipse the 2,000-point plateau for her career. She concluded her time wearing the blue and white with 2,180 points.
    • Mustafaj has her name sprinkled throughout the record books, including program records in points (2,180), field goals made (815) and free throws made (397). 
    • The Panther led the NESCAC with 24.0 points per game (PPG) and field goals made (211).  
    • Mustafaj recorded 30 or more points in six contests this year and 15 times over her career.
  • Dixon (Second Team)
    • Dixon earns All-NESCAC second-team praises for the second-consecutive season. The forward had a phenomenal campaign, finishing as one of two NESCAC players to average a double-double this season. She concluded the winter with 11.6 PPG and 11.2 rebounds per game (RPG). 
    • The Panther posted career highs in rebounds (25) and blocked shots (six) this year. 
    • She recorded 44 blocks, putting her second in the program's single-season history.
    • Dixon pulled down double-digit boards in 17 games and tallied 10 double-doubles. 
    • Her 25 rebounds against Colby in the NESCAC Quarterfinals rank second all-time in the Middlebury single-game record book.
    • She wraps up her career with 951 points, 850 rebounds and 144 blocked shots. Her 144 blocks are first in the program's laurels, while her rebounding total is second.

The Panthers concluded the season with a 15-10 record and earned the seventh seed in the NESCAC Tournament.
