The #8 Middlebury women's tennis team claimed the point in doubles, but was edged 4-3 by #4 Pomona-Pitzer in a back-and-forth battle.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Lulu Wu and Nathalie van der Reis grabbed a 6-3 win at #3 to begin tandem play.
  • The duo of Claudia Miller and Elsie Van Wieren triumphed 6-4 in the middle spot to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
  • At #1, Nina Farhat and Sahana Raman duked it out with Marissa Markay and Angie Zhou, winning the tiebreaker 7-2 to claim the match 7-6.
  • Markay avenged that loss with a straight-sets (6-4, 6-2) win in the fourth spot against van der Reis to knot the contest at 1-1.
  • Wu gave the advantage back to Middlebury with a 7-5, 6-1 triumph at #3.
  • The Sagehens deadlocked the match again with a sweep in the fifth spot, but Farhat claimed both of her sets by 6-3 scores to give the Panthers a 3-2 edge.
