The #14 Middlebury men's lacrosse team came up short against Babson, falling by a score of 14-9. The contest was played at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Maryland during the team's spring break trip.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • With 10:46 remaining in the opening quarter, Patrick Jamin barreled into the offensive area and slipped a shot into the upper right corner for the 1-0 Panther edge.
  • Just over a minute later, John McCarthy found nylon from just under the restraining line on a feed from Billy Curtis to build a 2-0 lead.
  • Babson responded with three-straight goals to close out the first stanza with a 3-2 advantage.
  • The Beavers tallied first in the second session before both sides traded each goal thereafter as Babson extended its lead to 7-5 at the break.
  • At the 12:46 mark of the third quarter, Justin Greene faked a defender and tucked his shot inside the left pipe for the 8-5 Beaver margin.
  • Middlebury answered just over a minute later when Logan White wrapped around the net and took goalie Alex Fascilla by surprise to cut the deficit to 8-6.
  • Babson tallied back-to-back markers to increase its advantage to 10-6 with 4:02 left in the third.
  • McCarthy found nylon on a feed from Finn McCarthy with 3:07 left on the clock for a 10-7 score, but Camden Matthews's last-second nifty tally gave the Beavers an 11-7 advantage heading into the final frame.
  • The Panthers sliced the lead down to a pair (11-9) with goals from Curtis and White just 43 seconds into the quarter.
  • That was as close as Middlebury would get as Babson tallied three unanswered markers for the 14-9 triumph.
NOTES
  • William Munroe went 19-for-26 at the X and scooped up a season-high 10 rollers.
