Several members of the Middlebury women's track and field team competed at Plymouth State's Panther Invitational II on Saturday. The squad finished eighth out of 10 teams, with
Julia Tulimieri headlining with a first-place finish in the shot put.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Tulimieri claimed the shot with a toss of 12.06m as the only competitor to toss the implement over 12 meters. Lilly Wurtz finished in third place with a launch of 11.53m. Emily Rubio rounded out the Panthers in the event with an 18th-place showing (9.71m).Â
- Earning runner-up honors in the 200-meter dash was Mary Elliot, clocking in at 59.71 seconds. Elliot was just .02 off of the winning time.
- Wurtz led a trio of Middlebury competitors in the weight throw, recording a mark of 13.24m for fifth place. Tulimieri finished 12th (12.50m), while Maggie Kim was 25th (9.48m).
The entire Panther squad returns to action on Saturday, February 8 when it hosts the Middlebury Field and Track Meet.Â
