The Middlebury women's basketball team saw its six-game winning streak come to an end, falling 72-63 to Tufts. During the contest,
Alexa Mustafaj become the first Panther regardless of gender to eclipse the 2,000 career point mark.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The Jumbos jumped out to a 5-0 advantage early and increased their lead to 16-10 on a jumper from Caitlyn O'Boyle with 55 seconds left in the opening quarter.
- Calie Messina sank a shot from beyond the arc in the final minute, cutting the deficit to three (16-13) at the break.
- Tufts came out of the intermission strong, rattling off 13-unanswered points for a 29-13 lead with 6:31 to go.
- Middlebury responded with a 7-1 run, capped by a layup from Augusta Dixon at the 4:20 mark, to slice the advantage to 10 (30-20).Â
- The hosts closed the half with a 7-4 spurt to take a 37-24 lead at the break.
- The Jumbos exploded out of the locker room, rattling off a 17-9 run over the initial 5:18 of action. During the span, Stella Gelanes accounted for 13 points including four three-pointers for the commanding 54-33 advantage.Â
- The Panthers answered with a 9-4 burst to end the quarter, cutting the deficit to 58-42.Â
- Trailing 61-42, Mustafaj went on a 12-2 run where she accounted for all 12 points, slicing the lead down to 10 (64-54) with 3:53 remaining.
- With 1:17 left, a shot from beyond the arc by Keeley Baglio closed the gap to single digits (67-59), before Middlebury was forced to foul.
- Following a pair of charity tosses from Callie O'Brien, an Emma Kirck layup with 49 ticks left made it 69-61, but that was as close as the Panthers would get.
- The Jumbos went three-of-four down the stretch to slip past Middlebury 72-63.

- With 27 points today, Mustafaj now has 2,007 in her career.Â
- Dixon grabbed seven boards during the contest, moving into fifth place on the Panthers' all-time list with 743.Â
- Middlebury and Tufts played for the 37th time.
