Hope Shue of the top-ranked Middlebury women's lacrosse team has been named the NCAA Elite 90 award winner for the second-consecutive year. She becomes the first two-time winner of the prestigious award in Middlebury history.

ABOUT THE AWARD
- The award recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in their sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among peers.Â
- The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average (GPA) participating at the site of the finals for each of the NCAA's 90 championships.Â
ABOUT SHUE
- Shue becomes the sixth student-athlete in Middlebury history to earn the honor and the fourth women's lacrosse player.Â
- She owns a perfect 4.00 GPA as a neuroscience major.
- The Panther was recently named the NESCAC Player of the Year, while also earning Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region First Team and All-NESCAC First Team praises this season.Â
- The midfielder paces the league in goals (75) and points (100). Both totals rank third in the program's single-season history books.Â
- This season, Shue has rewritten the Middlebury record books, ascending to third in career goals (214) and points (266) entering the NCAA Semifinals.
- The Panther was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District and CSC Academic All-America honoree a year ago.Â
