Beatty ’84 Tabbed USTFCCCA Women’s Mideast Coach Of The Year For Third-Straight Season

Middlebury head women's track and field coach Martin Beatty '84 has been tabbed the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) Mideast Coach of the Year for the third-straight season.
 
HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
  • Beatty, along with assistant coaches Nicole Wilkerson, Bruce Ingersoll, Luke Hotte, Peter Kim, Jason McCallum '14, Kevin Chu '14, Max Memeger '22 and Jake Rigoli, earned NESCAC Coaching Staff of the Year Honors for the third-consecutive year.
  • The cohort led the Panthers to their third-straight NESCAC Championship this spring.
  • Middlebury had four individual winners during the conference meet, as well as 13 all-conference performances and two school records.
  • The Panther program had two individuals qualify for the upcoming NCAA Championship. Audrey MacLean is seeded fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while Macy Daggitt enters the meet ranked ninth in the long jump. Both begin competition at the event on Thursday evening.
  • Beatty is in his 37th year at the helm of both the men's and women's track and field programs.
