The Middlebury baseball team downed Norwich 11-1 to pick up its sixth-straight triumph, including four-consecutive wins on Forbes Field.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Panthers got on the board in their first appearance at the plate. Mitchell Schroeder walked, before a homer from Kyle McCausland brought the pair across the plate for the 2-0 early edge.
  • Middlebury increased its advantage to 5-0 in the second when a round-tripper by Schroeder cleared the bases.

  • The Cadets got one run back in the fifth inning to make it 7-1. Tyler Callahan doubled to left field, before later scoring on a single through the left side by Michael Sabasteanski.
  • In the sixth, Beau Root walked, stole second and scampered home on a double by Chris Borter, before Borter scored on a single from Schroeder for the 9-1 advantage.
  • Middlebury closed out the scoring in the bottom of the seventh when a double by Gus Parker brought home Zip Malley and Pellagrini for the 11-1 final score.
